How we are helping
We are supporting ORG Bahamas Foundation to design and implement a new M&E framework, alongside tailored training and capacity building activities.
About the project
The Foundation’s capacity strengthening grants stream supports smaller Commonwealth civil society organisations in smaller Member States, building their expertise and enhancing their capacity to influence policy.
ORG Bahamas Foundation promotes accountable governance by identifying challenges and serving as a catalyst for the development of actionable solutions. The organisation is aiming to improve the impact and effectiveness of its work by developing a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation framework to accurately measure outcomes and adapt strategies for better results. This grant will support the organisation in designing the framework, building internal capacity, and training staff and volunteers to use it effectively.
The key actions for this project are:
- Conducting a needs assessment to identify priority capacity building areas.
- Developing tailored capacity building programmes.
- Organising M&E workshops and training sessions for staff and volunteers.
- Implementing regular monitoring and evaluation activities to track progress and refine the framework.
As a result of the project, it is hoped that ORG Bahamas Foundation will have a robust M&E framework to guide decision-making and improve programming. Staff and volunteers will be better equipped to implement and refine this framework, leading to deeper community engagement and more effective civic education initiatives including public participation in governance reform.
